Nashville Zoo Hosts First Annual Teddy Bear Clinic
Children are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal friend to Nashville Zoo’s first annual Teddy Bear Clinic on Feb. 13 in the Zoo’s Croft Center Gallery. The Zoo’s Veterinary Department will be on call from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and again from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. performing routine teddy bear checkups. The Teddy Bear Clinic is free with Zoo admission and no registration is necessary.
Other activities and stations include Beary Fun Facts, Bear Bones X-ray station, Bear Care Clinic where kids can dress up like a veterinarian, and “I Made It with My Bear Hands” craft station. Children will receive a certificate of Beary Good Health at the end of the checkup.
Visitors are also invited to special Nashville Zoo Star animal presentations at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Carnivore Keeper Talks at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. More information can be found on the Zoo’s website at https://www.nashvillezoo.org/upcoming-events/entry/teddy-bear-clinic/instance/2-13-2016.
