Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce and Tennessee Performing Arts Center present 2nd Annual Empanada Tasting Event Sept. 7
Cultural celebration includes special presentation from Studio Tenn’s original production of “Evita,” opening Sept. 9-18

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce (TLACC) and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) will host the 2nd Annual Empanada Tasting Event on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at which attendees can explore the flavor, culture, and rich diversity of the region’s Latin American community while supporting Latino-owned businesses.
Tickets for the tasting are $20 (no fees) and can now be purchased directly from TPAC.org. With each ticket, attendees receive five empanadas and a soft drink or water. Additional food and drinks will be available from the vendors and TPAC concessions. No ticket required for children under 7.
Participating vendors include Delicias Colombianas (Colombia), Food 4 You Catering (Mexico), Karla’s Catering and Prepared Foods (Mexico), Nelly’s Authentic Peruvian Sweets (Peru), Que Delicias Catering (Colombia), Rico Ricky y El Gordito (Colombia), and Salsa Restaurant (Puerto Rico).
Hosted in the main lobby space at TPAC, 505 Deaderick St. in downtown Nashville, the expanded celebration of Latino culture also will feature a special presentation from Studio Tenn Theatre Company, the Franklin-based professional theatre company whose original production of “Evita,” starring Broadway powerhouse Eden Espinosa and Tony Award-winner Anthony Crivello, opens the 2016-17 HCA/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC season on Sept. 9-18.
