NASHVILLE RESTAURANT WEEK RETURNS JANUARY 20th THROUGH 25th
Semi-Annual Event Offers Special Menus, Prices at More Than 40 Nashville Originals
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – More than 40 locally owned fixtures of the middle Tennessee dining scene are offering special menus and price points as part of the semi-annual Nashville Restaurant Week January 20th through the 26th.
Participating restaurants are members of the Nashville Originals, the city’s not-for-profit independent restaurant association, ranging from casual eateries to acclaimed fine dining establishments.
“Twice each year, the Originals celebrate Nashville’s incredible dining scene by hosting Restaurant Week, featuring special fixed-price menus as a way to highlight the importance of supporting locally owned restaurants,” said Gep Nelson, a Nashville Originals Board member and an owner of Yellow Porch in Nashville and Wild Iris and Cross Corner Bar & Grill in Williamson County. “Our culinary offering is such a huge part of our city’s culture. Our goal as an organization is to support each other, and the jobs and economic impact attached to the industry locally. For the diner, it means the perfect time to try a new restaurant or sample something new at an old favorite. That’s what community is all about.”
Established in 2006, the Nashville Originals are local restaurateurs dedicated to sustaining the independent restaurant as a fixture of Nashville's culture and community. Together, the Originals support local initiatives and charities, as well as the growing culinary community that continues to enjoy national acclaim.
Participating restaurants’ prix-fixe menus are typically set at $20.14, $30.14 and $2.14, respectively. Many Originals members are offering three-course lunches or dinners featuring an appetizer or salad, entrée and dessert for $20.14. At other locations, three-course dinners are $30.14, where still others offer a menu for two at the established prices. Burger Up, for instance, is offering two beef burgers and a fried pickle app for $20.14.
Midtown Cafe is putting their signature twist on things for Restaurant Week, offering a three-course meal for $30.14 that includes a choice of appetizer (shrimp & grits) or soup (lemon artichoke), an organic salad with blood orange vinaigrette, three entrée options (grilled mahi mahi, Memphis-style pork tenderloin, or a roasted duck breast), and Tiramisu for dessert. And they’re pairing it with three pours of paired wines for $15.14, while also offering any house wine by the bottle at $20.14.
