NASHVILLE, Tenn. - July 23, 2013 - Nashville Dancin’ presented by Dollar General rolls into week five on Thursday, July 25 at Riverfront Park in downtown Nashville. Concertgoers can enjoy FREE music from a diverse lineup of musicians including headliner Edwin McCain known for his Americana infused indie-rock hits including “Solitude,” “3 a.m.” and “I’ll Be.” In addition, Nashville-based rockers The Kicks, Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes, and MODOC will build up a high-energy night for the all-ages show. Nashville's own Storme Warren will host the FREE show at the historical Riverfront Park where Lower Broadway meets the river. Doors open at 5 p.m and parking is FREE in Lot R at Titans Stadium.
Nashville Dancin’ presented by Dollar General takes place every Thursday night through August 1. On August 1, Nashville Dancin' presented by Dollar General teams up with Bud Light Music First 50-50-1 concert event, exclusive to ages 21 and over. Each week, music fans can enjoy the FREE summer concert series with FREE parking at LP Field and FREE shuttle service courtesy of Grand Avenue. Concert-goers looking for some good eats can enjoy a plethora of choices from Nashville's favorite food trucks, including DegThai, The Grilled Cheeserie, Pazze Italiano and Riffs Fine Street Food. Jeni's Ice Cream will also be onsite to delight. Artist merchandise will be available for purchase onsite at Nashville’s first and only mobile clothing boutique, The Trunk. One hundred percent of profits from Nashville Dancin' merch will be donated to the charities of choice, and a portion of the proceeds from artist merchandise will be donated to the three participating charities. Charities include: Dollar General Literacy Foundation, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and PENCIL Foundation.
For over a decade, Dancin’ in the District, the precursor to Nashville Dancin’ presented by Dollar General, was a local tradition, bringing some of the best live music to downtown Nashville and helping to revitalize Lower Broadway. With the city’s growing economy and the current national attention on Music City, Nashville Dancin’ presented by Dollar General is a welcomed addition to the city's entertainment landscape. Each weekly concert features diverse lineups, including Americana, rock, blues, pop, and country with a focus on Nashville's local talent.
"Nashville Dancin' presented by Dollar General is a great night out in downtown for anyoneh in who loves music,” said Tom Morales, producer for the event.
