CHEF MANEET CHAUHAN ANNOUNCES NAME, LOCATION OF NEW RESTAURANT TO OPEN IN NASHVILLE
Construction already underway
Celebrity Chef Maneet Chauhan of The Food Network's Chopped is excited to announce the name and location of her first restaurant, which will open in Nashville in spring 2014. The Indian gastropub will be called 'Chauhan Ale & Masala House' and will be located at 123 12th Avenue North.
Construction is already underway on the concept, which will feature business casual dining for lunch and dinner seven days a week for up to 150 guests at one time. Catering for external, special events will also be made available with the option to have Chef Chauhan appear at those events and prepare the menu on site.
"My decision to open my first restaurant in Nashville was born from my heart," Chauhan said. "From the moment I stepped foot in Music City I have had a love affair with the people and burgeoning culinary scene. This city's long, highly-respected cultural history, coupled with the recent growth and development is inspiring. I could not be happier with my decision and I'm truly excited to call Nashville my home.”
Chef Chauhan has partnered with North Gulch Hospitality, which consists of Anthem/Revelry co-owners Moni Advani, London Parfitt and Austin Ratliff for this project. North Gulch Hospitality will be overseeing the construction of the restaurant.
"When we reached out to Maneet, we weren't sure if she would be responsive to the idea of opening her first restaurant in Nashville," said Advani. "Not only was she responsive, but she was on a plane to Nashville the next week and we hit it off immediately. The fact that she has partnered with us to open her first restaurant is extremely humbling. We're very excited for people to see the finished product."
"The North Gulch has seen tremendous growth in the past year," adds Parfitt. "12th and Porter has undergone a massive renovation and we have taken great steps to make Anthem a premier special events venue and nightlife destination for the city. The Eleven North housing development is one of the most sought after new addresses in Nashville and we hear more and more news everyday of even bigger developments happening at our doorstep. It's an exciting time for Nashville and an exciting time for us to bring Maneet into the mix."
