MUSIC CITY CENTER RECEIVES DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP LIVE AWARD
Music City Center honored for bee hives at the Nashville Downtown Partnership Awards Luncheon
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Music City Center was awarded the 2015 Nashville Downtown Partnership Award in the LIVE category today for the recent addition of bee hives on the green roof.
The Nashville Downtown Partnership Annual Awards honor individuals, companies and organizations for outstanding achievements in the LIVE, WORK, PLAY and INVEST categories. Awards are presented to downtown groups or individuals who have made significant contributions toward the partnership’s core purpose – “to make downtown Nashville the compelling urban center in the Southeast in which to live, work, play and invest.”
The LIVE award recognizes new or innovative residential developments, successful promotion of downtown living, or an ongoing successful track record in residential development. The Downtown Partnership honored the Music City Center for promoting sustainable lifestyles and local food as a way of green urban living.
“The Downtown Partnership has done so much for the city and we are honored to receive this award,” said Charles Starks, President/CEO of the Music City Center. “It’s incredible how much downtown Nashville has changed over the last eight years and our team is dedicated to making sure that growth continues in a sustainable way.”
