MUSIC CITY CENTER ON TRACK TO HAVE RECORD-BREAKING FISCAL YEAR
Music City Center generates over $168 million in economic impact in first five months of fiscal year 2016
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Music City Center announced this morning that the building has hosted over 130 events generating $168 million in economic impact so far this fiscal year.
The Music City Center hosted 29 events with 48,393 attendees in November, generating 24,081 room nights for a total of $19.6 million in economic impact. Fiscal year to date the building has hosted 131 events with 282,088 attendees, generating $168 million in economic impact. Since opening in May 2013, the building has hosted over 800 events with 1.5 million attendees. Tax collections continue to outperform expectations and the Music City Center portion of tax collections was up 7.05 percent year over year for September.
“November was a great month for us this year with National League of Cities, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and a number of other events” said Charles Starks, President/CEO of the Music City Center. “During National League of Cities, we had city leaders from all over the country here and they could not say enough great things about what’s happening here in Nashville.”
