PRESS RELEASE: LUCKY LADD
TN's largest petting farm & AG-venture fun park
Starting this Spring, Lucky Ladd Farms will begin offering “Farm Tours” to bus groups visiting the Nashville area. Two types of tours will be offered including a guided tour where guests are taken behind the scenes of this popular Agritainment site, and a self-guided tour where guests can explore the farm on their own.
This out-of-the-box guided tour, appropriately called “Farm & Country”, will be led by a Lucky Ladd Daymaker with intimate knowledge of the history and traditions of this Tennessee working farm and is perfect for anyone who loves the rural experience, nature and animals. Visitors will experience hands-on farm animal encounters, take a tour through Lucky Ladd’s unique produce gardening operation where everything is grown in strawbales, and enjoy an enlightening wagon ride through Tennessee’s Cedar Glades – one of the most unusual ecosystems in the world. “This tour gives guests a chance to reconnect with nature, learn about new innovations in growing our food and enjoy some leisurely time experiencing Tennessee farm culture,” says Jason Ladd, farm owner.
Lucky Ladd’s is also offering delightful meal options that are sure to please the hungriest crowd for tours that visit the farm. Their “Field-to-Fork” banquet meals made from Tennessee farm-raised meats and vegetables with country desserts will be ideal for large groups with 50 or more. For smaller groups, Lucky Ladd’s is offering Southern Favorites Meals where guests can pre-order and enjoy their meal sitting at the picnic pavilion. Of course, a visit to the farm would not be complete without a serving of Lucky Ladd’s famous fresh-squeezed lemonade or home-made sweet tea which is also included.
After the tour, guests are welcome to mosey through Lucky Ladd’s country farm market where they will find treats like fresh kettle corn, baked fruit breads, jarred goods, goat milk soaps, clever farm toys and souvenirs -or- they can explore the award-winning farm park that features 75+ fun-for-all-ages attractions and activities.
Lucky Ladd Farms, also known as Tennessee largest petting farm, is a leader in Tennessee’s agritourism business with over 100,000 people visiting the farm every year and thousands of students coming to the farm on educational field trips. During the year, Lucky Ladd’s hosts several flagship festivals such as their Easter Celebration in the spring; Kid’s Construction Days, Watermelon Festival and the Sweet Corn Festival in the summer and their annual Family Fun Festival every fall.
The farm’s popularity has been recognized by leading magazines, websites and peer groups being named by Southern Living Magazine as “One of the top 5” pumpkin patches in the southeast.
