DAN MCGUINNESS REOPENS AS HARP & FIDDLE IT'S STILL NASHVILLE’S IRISH PUB, JUST GROWN UP
October 29, 2015, Nashville, TN – The former Dan McGuinness Irish Pub is reopening on November 5 as Harp & Fiddle: Nashville’s Irish Pub, 1538 Demonbreun Street.
“I am excited to introduce Harp & Fiddle to the Nashville community. Harp & Fiddle features the comfortable and celebratory atmosphere Nashville loves about our Irish Pubs with some new twists that reflect the ever-evolving needs and desires of our Nashville friends and neighbors,” said Quinn O’Sullivan, Harp & Fiddle’s owner.
Founded in 2003 by O’Sullivan, a partner, and local investors, Dan McGuinness Irish Pub on Demonbreun Street skyrocketed to become a prime fixture in the Nashville social scene.
“I am very proud of our work to develop the Dan McGuinness franchise in Middle Tennessee, but the massive development around midtown (and Demonbreun Street, especially) necessitated some changes that led to our decision to break away from the Dan McGuinness franchise and reopen as an independent Irish Pub,” O’Sullivan said.
Freed from the parameters of a corporate/franchise structure, Harp & Fiddle is making key upgrades to its bar and menu selections to better satisfy the refined yet adventurous palates of Nashvillians. Fans of Dan McGuinness need not fear. From Fish n’ Chips to Shepherd’s Pie, all their favorite menu items are still available with key enhancements like higher quality ingredients acquired from more localized sources.
Harp & Fiddle’s menu will continue to offer your Irish Pub favorites, and is adding some unique Nashville twists. "Our former menu was centered around heavier items. While our favorites will still be featured, we are bringing new selections like fresh fish and fun small plates everyone can share. We are taking advantage of some of the local farms and shops around town to bring our customers exciting new flavors," O'Sullivan said. "Our bar menu will continue to offer a full complement of international spirits as well as some terrific unique local ones."
“At Harp & Fiddle, we will continue offering some of our most popular promotions, like our Thursday $6 Fish 'n Chips special and our Sunday $3 drafts promotion. We will introduce some exciting new promotions as well,” O’Sullivan said.
Harp & Fiddle, the much-loved and welcoming Irish Pub, is now proud to be smoke-free. You might say that Dan McGuinness’s is simply growing up.
Harp & Fiddle will remain home to some of Nashville's best music. From world class Irish music and dancing to songwriter showcases, Harp & Fiddle hosts fun and unique entertainment. Past stars who have taken the stage include Kid Rock, Luke Bryan, Tanya Tucker, Big and Rick, and The Oak Ridge Boys.
Currently, Thee Rock N' Roll Residency has become the center of the rock music world in Nashville. "We even earned a top ten award for best music moments with Thee Rock N' Roll Residency when they brought Alice Cooper up on stage to sing Beatles cover songs. Tuesday nights have become one of the coolest nights in Nashville," O'Sullivan said.
On Sundays, Harp & Fiddle hosts Molly Ramone, Nashville's most dynamic Irish Music Band.Owner Quinn O’Sullivan, a former professional soccer player, wants soccer fans to rest assured, Harp & Fiddle will continue to host the largest soccer fan watch party for the US National Soccer Teams. “We are your local Irish Pub, Nashville,” O’Sullivan said. “If it’s important to you, it’s important to us. So join us on November 5, for the grand opening of Harp & Fiddle, get re-acquainted with this special Nashville fixture and experience our terrific menu and a bar selection.”
