MUSIC AND FOOD FESTIVALS TAKE CENTER STAGE IN NASHVILLE THIS FALL
Festivals and Award Shows Showcase Music City’s Diversity
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – September 12, 2013- Great food and live music go hand-in-hand in Music City, and Nashville’s fall line-up showcases just that. While the air is cooling off, the music will stay hot with headliners, up-and-comers and everything in between taking the stage to show off the many genres of music Nashville has to offer. Food festivals sprinkled throughout the fall calendar include the nation’s top chefs as well as local and regional chefs who have put Nashville on the culinary map with their unique and creative menus. So whether your beat is rock, classical, bluegrass or country, Southern fare, haute cuisine or everything in between, Nashville has something for all tastes and taste buds.
Saturday afternoons September 7 - October 26
The fall season of Musicians Corner will take place in Centennial Park from 2-5 p.m. and will feature over 60 free multi-genre musical performances including Caitlin Rose, Shelby Lynne, The Floorwalkers, Jeffrey James, Sugar and the Hi-Lows, and more. This free event also includes Kidsville, an outdoor destination where parents can bring their little ones to enjoy fun and activities such as arts & crafts, games, entertainment, music education and more!
Americana Music Festival and Conference
The 14th Annual Americana Festival includes four nights of 130 live performances at six music venues in and around downtown Nashville. Days are filled with seminars, panels and networking opportunities at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel. The event’s kick-off is the Americana Honors and Awards ceremony on September 18th at the Ryman Auditorium. Showcase lineup includes Della Mae, Roseanne Cash, Steep Canyon Rangers, Holly Williams, Lisa Marie Presley, Caitlin Rose, Rayland Baxter, and many more!
Music City Eats
Sept. 21-22, 2013
Music City Eats is the brainchild of Nathan and Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon, Chef Jonathan Waxman, C3 Presents, and Vector Management's Ken Levitan and Andy Mendelsohn. National star chefs join local superstar chefs to offer local farm and restaurant showcases and demonstrations, dinners, and tastings - all set to live music, of course. Giada De Laurentiis, Michael Symon, Jonathan Waxman, John Besh, and other chefs will come from out of town to share their food, while local chefs Erik Anderson, Josh Habiger, Deb Paquette, Tandy Wilson, Matt Farley, Pat Martin, and others show off their culinary chops in the same arena.
Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival
Enjoy gourmet food from local restaurants and chefs while listening to music from some of the biggest acts out there. This is Zac Brown Band's festival so they close the show each night, while John Fogerty, Jason Mraz, and others will sit in for a few. Willie Nelson, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Kenny Chesney, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, Eli Young Band, Dawes, Kacey Musgraves, and others will take the stage for full sets throughout the weekend.
47th Annual CMA Awards
See the 47th Annual CMA Awards live from Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville on November 6. Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host “Country Music’s Biggest Night” which will include performances by the genre’s top acts.

CMA Country Christmas Taping
Enjoy the magic this holiday season with your favorite Country stars as they perform classic Christmas songs and share their treasured holiday memories. It’s a night of celebration guaranteed to get you in the spirit! The event is taped in front of a live audience to be aired on ABC later this holiday season.
