CITY WINERY INTRODUCES NEW MENUS
Downtown Nashville Restaurant and Venue Releases
Chef-Driven Lunch, Dinner and Event Menus
(NASHVILLE, TN.) May 25, 2016 – Following the recent announcement of new Executive Chef Garrett Pittler, City Winery in downtown Nashville has released all new menus now available in the restaurant as well as in the music and event venue.
The new menu offerings, which were crafted by Chef Pittler, feature carefully curated dishes that complement the restaurant’s extensive wine list and represent the regions from which the grapes used to make City Winery’s own wines are grown.
“We wanted to return the focus to the wine and that social aspect of tasting wines and enjoying a bottle with a group, so we’ve included more appetizers, snacks and shareable dishes, along with smaller plates and more robust sides,” said Chef Pittler. “We also had fun exploring the regions from where we source many of our grapes and incorporating those culinary influences into the menus.”
Lunch menu highlights include, the Salmon Belly Panini made with fresh, diced salmon, capers, red onion, white cheddar and a red wine vinaigrette; the PB&J, City Winery’s spin on the classic sandwich served panini-style with pistachio butter, blackberry wine preserves and foie gras torchon; and the Kale Caesar Salad topped with anchovies.
For dinner, diners can expect more upscale dishes utilizing fresh ingredients. To start, choose from Mussels served with fennel, Chardonnay and grilled bread; Arancini, or fried rice balls containing prosciutto and fontina in an arrabbiata sauce; Duck Confit Tacos with Napa slaw and salsa; Smoked Bone Marrow served with kale gremolata and rustic house bread; charcuterie and cheese board selections; and more. Main courses include a Funghi Flatbread topped with house Italian sausage, fennel, rapini pesto and chevre; Coq Au Vin with mashed potatoes and wine jus; and two City Winery Steak options.
The revamped event menu offers a snacks section that includes Giardiniera (Italian pickled veggies), Marinated Olives, a Popcorn Duo with white cheddar herb and bourbon caramel popcorns and a City Winery Snack Mix.
