CHEEKWOOD ANNOUNCES NEW HOURS FOR 2014
NASHVILLE, TN. – Beginning in January 2014, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art will extend its regular visitor hours by opening earlier, closing later, and adding seasonal evening hours to its schedule. Visitors will be able to enjoy the popular Nashville attraction Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm year round, with special late hours every Friday until 10 pm from May through October.
The change comes in response to the attraction’s increasing attendance and the addition of nighttime lighting in the Garden, which debuted with the institution’s recent LIGHT: Bruce Munro at Cheekwood exhibition. Cheekwood was ranked by the Nashville Business Journal as the fourth largest attended destination in Nashville last year.
“Our new hours reflect a year of wonderful growth for Cheekwood in 2013,” said Jane O. MacLeod, President and CEO. “Keeping our gates open longer each day is a step we’re proud to take to provide more opportunity for people to experience the incomparable beauty of this Nashville treasure.”
