“Christmas In July” brings Nashville’s Nutcracker Ticket Discounts
Nutcracker Characters Give Surprise Performances Across Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 28, 2013) – Despite the sweltering temperatures, Nashville Ballet is cooling off by celebrating “Christmas In July.” Starting Monday, July 1, Nashville Ballet is offering a special “Christmas In July” discount on tickets to one of Nashville’s favorite holiday traditions, Nashville’s Nutcracker which returns to TPAC’s Jackson Hall for 12 performances Dec. 7-22 and is presented by The Mall at Green Hills and ELAN Hair, Skin, Body.
Tickets to all performances of Nashville’s Nutcracker will be discounted by $12 during the month of July only, the largest single ticket discount of the year. Tickets can be purchased at the TPAC Box Office (505 Deaderick Street), by phone at (615) 782-4040 or online at www.NashvilleBallet.com. Nashville’s Nutcracker, one of Nashville’s favorite holiday traditions, tells the story of young Clara and her Nutcracker, as they visit the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, taking the audience on a magical journey to the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Single tickets for all other 2013-2014 season performances also go on sale to the public starting July 1. The “Christmas In July” discount applies to Nashville’s Nutcracker performances only.
Nashville natives should keep an eye out for characters from Nashville’s Nutcracker, who, in their excitement to celebrate Christmas in July, will make surprise public appearances at various locations throughout the city from July 1-July 31.
Nashville Ballet also invites children ages 8-12 years old to audition for this year’s performance of Nashville’s Nutcracker. This is the only opportunity the general public will have to perform on stage with Nashville Ballet’s company and second company members this season. Open auditions will be held Sept. 8 and Sept. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet. Children must be 8 years old by Dec. 31, 2013, to audition.
