Kick off Halloween fun at Adventure Science Center’s Spooky Science Day
Live tarantula, scorpion on display this Saturday, Oct. 31
NASHVILLE, Oct. 26, 2015—Before heading into the night for trick-or-treating this Saturday, Oct. 31, make plans to visit Adventure Science Center for Spooky Science Day! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. visitors can explore spine-chilling science with special activities and demonstrations.

Spooky Science Day activities (included with general admission):
· 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
o Arthropod Infestation – Arachnophobes beware! Creepy-crawlies are all around, hiding in the shadows or skittering underfoot. Discover which creatures are insects and which are arachnids. Plus, meet face-to-face with a live scorpion and tarantula!
o Skull Identification – Hey, bonehead! Use your noggin to figure out which animal skulls are on display.
· 11 a.m. & 4 p.m.:
o Creepy Chemistry 101 – Witches and wizards unite as we concoct a special brew. Watch dye disappear and reappear, fire change colors, and more wickedly scientific demonstrations.
· 12:30 p.m.:
o Pumpkin Powder Keg – Grab your “mummy” and join us outside to explore what happens when a pumpkin meets its demise with an explosive surprise. (weather dependent)
Special Sci-Bites Presentations:
1:30 & 2:30 p.m.
Like Frankenstein’s monster, we’re excited to bring to life the most popular Sci-Bites from National Chemistry Week! Join us as we reveal which themes the ghosts and ghouls voted most chilling.
Special activities are included with general admission and are subject to change.
