HUTTON HOTEL LAUNCHES WRITERS’ ROOMS DESIGNED BY DIERKS BENTLEY AND RYAN TEDDER
Music City’s Premier Boutique Hotel Offers Rooms Designed for Songwriters and Creators
New York, New York - (October, 2017) – In December 2017, Hutton Hotel will launch their highly anticipated Writers’ Rooms. Studio 11 Design firm was tapped to lead the creative direction of the new spaces with each room independently designed by Dierks Bentley or Ryan Tedder. The Writers’ Rooms are designed to serve songwriters and music industry professionals with the space, amenities and inspiration to create and inspire. The Writers’ Rooms at the Hutton nurture a creative environment for both visiting songwriters and musicians as well as those who call Music City home.
The two Writers’ Rooms serve as areas for artists to get inspired, write lyrics and lay down demos. Designed to host one or up to fifteen people at a time, every inch of the room is ideal for capturing music whenever inspiration strikes. Understanding that the job of the songwriter works in a very unique way, the Writers’ Rooms are designed from the perspective of a music writer. Every detail of the environment has been put in place to ensure the comfort, inspiration and the core quality of the production. This includes everything from isolation areas for guitars and a closet that functions as a vocal booth.
Hutton Hotel’s Writers’ Rooms followed the creative direction of Studio 11 and two well-respected singer / songwriters; Ryan Tedder and Dierks Bentley. Ryan Tedder’s 379-square-foot inspiration revolved around the authentic use of natural materials, a loft-style feel and use of unobstructed light to spark creativity. Dierks Bentley drew from his Arizona roots— the use of Saltillo tile, refined rustic elements, and layered Navajo area rugs create a completely different vibe. The juxtaposition of the two spaces will allow musicians to select the room that speaks to them creatively. In the spirit of collaboration and community, there is a common area that includes kitchen facilities to grab some juice, a beer or a snack and chat with others when conversation with like-minded strangers is part of the process.
