Super Bowl Champion Kevin Carter and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts to Host Annual "Waiting for Wishes" Celebrity Waiters Dinner & After-Party - Jammin' with Jay DeMarcus & Friends on April 24, 2018

NASHVILLE, TN --- January 30, 2018 - NFL veteran and Super Bowl Champion, Kevin Carter and co-host Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts will host the 17th Annual "Waiting for Wishes" Celebrity Waiters Dinner at The Palm Restaurant on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. The star-studded event will benefit The Kevin Carter Foundation and Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee. The event raises funds to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Nashville's premier celebrity event has raised more than $2.1 million for charity since its inception in 2002.
The celebrity event is an exclusive, VIP evening where Carter and DeMarcus invite professional athletes, country music artists and various celebrities from all over the country to take over The Palm as servers before they head over to Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row for the Official After-Party - Jammin' with Jay DeMarcus & Friends. The event continues to be one of the most unique celebrity events in the country and is considered a "must attend" event for patrons and participants alike. The annual event is expected to sell out and tickets are limited.
Nearly fifty celebrities joined in to wait tables, sign autographs and perform at the after-party in 2017. An eclectic mix of celebrities appear each year and this year will be no different. Previous attendees have included country artists John Rich, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Jana Kramer, Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Frankie Ballard, 80's Pop Singers Rick Springfield and Tiffany, the cast of NASHVILLE Chip Esten (Deacon), Chris Carmack (Will), and ABC's The Bachelor's Kaityln Bristowe, former Titans players Eddie George, Kevin Dyson, Olympic Skater Scott Hamilton, WWE's Titus O'Neil, MMA Fighter Tito Ortiz and comedian Ron White have all made appearances in years past. This year's celebrity lineup will be announced closer to the event date.

"I'm thankful to my co-host Jay DeMarcus and the unbelievable celebrities that show up to wait tables for our patrons each year. I am thrilled when I think about how many wishes we've been able to grant for children with life-threatening illnesses through our fundraising efforts and this event for the past fifteen years."
The Dinner - The Palm Restaurant
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception for patrons at 5:45 p.m., followed by The Palm's famous "Surf & Turf" dinner. A premier silent and live auction will feature exotic trips, autographed celebrity memorabilia, and once in a lifetime experiences. The celebrities will serve guests, sign autographs, and accept donations to indulge the lively crowd.
The Official After-Party - Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row
In 2012 "Waiting for Wishes" expanded to include an Official After-Party - "Jammin' with Jay DeMarcus & Friends." This informal jam session is tons of fun for patrons and servers alike. "Jammin' with Jay DeMarcus & Friends." has featured music from Rick Springfield, Darius Rucker, Tiffany, Scotty McCreary, Chip Esten, Tracy Lawrence, Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, Keith Anderson, Kristen Kelly and Low Cash Cowboys. You never know you will jump up on stage from the crowd.
