“We are committed to supporting Our Kids each year with proceeds from the Hammer Down Race,” says Jeff Fuller, Senior Vice President, JE Dunn Construction. “Our employees decided years ago that we wanted to provide purposeful giving opportunities with the greatest impact locally. Since 2015, our employees have managed the Hammer Down Races to bring more awareness to the mission of Our Kids and to raise money to support their continued efforts. Last year, JE Dunn Construction donated $100,000 to Our Kids. Our partnership is really a labor of love.”
“We are grateful to JE Dunn for recognizing that child sexual abuse is a real problem,” says Sue Fort White, Executive Director, Our Kids. “National statistics reveal that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 7 boys will experience some form of sexual abuse by age 18, and many cases will never be reported. In 30 years, Our Kids has helped more than 25,000 children and families affected by child sexual abuse in Nashville and beyond. We encourage all local runners to lace up and join us on April 7 to help make a difference in the lives of so many children.”
Runners can create teams, fundraise and donate to the Hammer Down Race, as well as sponsorships are available. For fundraising and donation information visit site here, and sponsorship information can be found here.
