Grab The Gold Donates 4.5 Tons of Snack Bars and Natural Peanut Butter
Hurricane Victim Gives Back to Flooded Communities
Nashville, TN (September 28, 2017) Grab The Gold donates 46,000 Grab the Gold snack bars and over 2,500 pounds of natural peanut butter to Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma victims. Grab the Gold is partnering with Feeding Texas and Second Harvest Food Bank to freight the snack bars and peanut butter, valued at $142,000, to Texas and Florida hurricane victims.
The recent hurricane events hit close to home for CEO and founder Danielle Ontiveros who lost her home from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She says, “After losing everything to Katrina, I remember how helpless, empty and confused I felt. To have a home one day and nothing the next day – it’s almost impossible to put that feeling into words. It’s a hard reality to accept. I know exactly how our friends in Texas and Florida feel, and I am so thankful to be in a place over 10 years later to be able to give back like so many others did for us in New Orleans.“
After Hurricane Katrina decimated New Orleans, Ontiveros relocated Grab The Gold to Middle Tennessee after receiving an outpouring of love and support from the customers and community in the Nashville area. Grab The Gold’s success can be attributed to supportive people with big hearts who care.
Ontiveros says, “We have been so blessed to rebuild in Middle Tennessee. To honor the people who helped me relocate and rebuild, I am happy to provide this donation of healthy food and give back to those in need.”
