The Music City moves to its own beat, one fueled by the rhythms of country, folk, bluegrass and gospel jams. Since musicians - stars and rising - make their home here, a creative buzz fills the city.
"It's probably one of my favorite cities, with its honky-tonks, hot chicken and emerging fashion boutiques like Imogene + Willie, where you can buy the perfect pair of jeans," says Lisa Davis, travel writer.
you don't have to love country music to love this city, though it may make you a convert, says travel writer Hollie Deese. "After a PBR at legendary honky-tonk Robert's Western World, you'll be buying a pair of cowboy boots right off the shelves," she says.
