Hurricane Relief Events & Donations
The hearts of Nashville are with our friends hit by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Many people are looking for ways to help. Some special events and fundraisers are listed below. If you know of any that we're missing, please do let us know at email@example.com.
For every beer sold on September 3, 10, 17, and 24 at the Tennessee Brew Works Taproom and the Tennessee Brew Works Airport Kiosk, $1 will donated to the American Red Cross.
Customers can add any amount donation to their check and Edley's will match donations dollar for dollar. Valid at all locations.
The telethon will broadcast on multiple television and social networks on September 12 from four cities: Nashville, New York City, Los Angeles, and San Antonio. The event will feature appearances, performances, and taped tributes from some of the nation's biggest stars including George Clooney, Justin Bieber, Jamie Foxx, Beyonce, Matt Lauer, Matthew McConaughey, Julie Roberts, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Barbra Streisand, Oprah Winfrey, and many others. Phone lines, text messaging, and digital donations will be open at the beginning of the show (8pm/ET) and will conclude one hour after the show ends. Now through September 12, 20% of purchases of Healing Oils and Body Balms will be donated directly to the Texas Diaper Bank.
10% of sales, up to $50,000, on September 14 will go to the American Red Cross to restore the areas hardest hit by the hurricane.
Enjoy tacos, margaritas, beer, and music at Martin's BBQ on 4th Ave S on September 26 for a good cause. Raffle tickets will be available for exciting items as well. Featured chefs include: Pat Martin (Martin's BBQ), Levon Wallace (Gray & Dudley), Alex Padilla (Original Ninfa's on Navigation), John Lasater (Hattie B's), Bryan Weaver (Butcher & Bee), Lisa White (Marsh House), and more. Through the end of September, 50% of proceeds from every order of risotto balls at all locations will benefit All Hands Volunteers a volunteer-powered disaster relief organization dedicated to rebuilding hope for people impacted by natural disasters around the world.
Online Auctions and Donation Funds
An online jersey and memorabilia auction through September 4 at 5pm/c will assist with the Hurricane Harvey relief effort. All home white jerseys of players currently with the Sounds, or most recently worn, will be part of the auction that is now live and can be found at qtego.net/qlink/sounds.
Fans wishing to make a cash donation are invited to do so at www.nashvillesounds.com under the “Community” tab and “Share the Sound” feature. The money raised by fans will be matched by the Nashville Sounds Foundation up to $10,000.
Chris Young has started a Hurricane Harvey Reliefe GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the American Red Cross.
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is accepting online donations to the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund.
