Downtown Nashville is the place if you are looking for live music and lively nightclubs. The District, a square of 16 blocks, comes alive every evening and provides you with many opportunities to enjoy many different genres of music and entertainment. Ask your concierge for directions to any of these nightclubs in downtown.

Start your visit on Lower Broad, a.k.a. “Honky Tonk Highway.” Between Fourth and Fifth Avenues on Broadway, you will find wild, packed clubs that never have a cover charge. That’s right – free! And you will hear all kinds of country from Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash to Shania Twain to Faith Hill. You can spend a whole evening here just hopping from one bar to the next.

Known for its subtle blues and lively karaoke, Printers Alley has been making waves for decades. Nestled in an alley between Third and Fourth Avenues, you can salsa dance at Caliente’s, smoke a cigar while listening to the blues at Bourbon Street or sing Barry Manilow tunes at Lonnie’s.

One of the newest nightclubs in downtown is B.B. King’s Blues Club. Here you’ll find yourself immersed in the deep blues. Funky artwork lines the club, and a stain glass window overlooks the bar reminding you that you have entered the church of blues. On the weekends, get there early if you want a seat or you’ll be left to dance the night away on the dance floor in front of the band.

The only Irish pub downtown is Mulligan’s. A downtown staple, here you can toast to the luck of the Irish with the locals. Whatever’s on tap is sure to be worthy of your glass.

Country music like you have never seen it – the Wildhorse Saloon serves up a good time. Throughout the massive three-story restaurant, fiberglass stallions greet you. Look up – they are even stampeding across the ceiling! Try some of the city’s most popular barbecue or try your hand at the free line dancing lessons on the dance floor.

Neighborhoods all over Nashville are home to a variety of live music venues. While in Nashville, be sure to take in a songwriters night at the World Famous Bluebird cafe. The Cafe has gained a reputation worldwide for presenting the best original country and acoustic music seven nights a week.
