Are you a shop-aholic? A mall walker? Maybe you just like to explore what's out there. Nashville's shopping scene offers you traditional malls to eccentric boutiques to precious antiques. If you have any spare time while you are here, take some time to explore a shopper's paradise.

There are eight local shopping malls in Nashville. Start at the trendy Green Hills Mall where one-of-a-kind stores pepper the mall. Block out several hours for the outlet mall Opry Mills. Over 200 retailers call this mall home, so you are sure to go home with some great bargains. One of the larger malls, CoolSprings Galleria, has many large chain department stores as well as smaller boutiques.

In the heart of trendy Nashville is Hillsboro Village, an area ripe with young professionals. Here there are nearly two-dozen boutiques and restaurants and the city's oldest movie cinema. You never know who you might bump into while buying stationery at Social Graces, fashion jewelry at Pangea or trendy purses at Fire Finch. Not far from downtown is the heart of Nashville's Antique District on Eight Avenue South. Spread along two miles, every corner has a hidden treasure. Find 1950's vintage dinnerware to 1800's furniture. The sky is the limit on what you can find buried in the back of one of these shops. Be sure to visit Historic Downtown Franklin too.
