Student Performance Opportunities
Nashville is MUSIC CITY because music of all genres is written, recorded and performed here. Don't miss the opportunity for your students to PERFORM on one of Music City's famous stages:
Andrew Jackson's Hermitage: Home of the People's President – Student groups can perform before or after their tour in the Visitor Center breezeway, back porch of Jackson’s home and other areas of the property. Advance reservations required.
Belle Meade Plantation – Perform in front of an 1890s Carriage House located on the heart of the 30 acres of lush historic property just 7 miles from downtown Nashville.
Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre - Student groups can perform preshow by special arrangement with the Group Sales Department.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum – Student groups can perform preshow by special arrangement with the Group Sales Department. Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum – Music City Showcase provides an excellent opportunity for the many performance groups visiting Nashville to perform to an audience at the museum. Groups range from small ensembles of 20 or less to marching bands of up to 100 members.
General Jackson Showboat – Student performance program available prior to midday cruises only, March–October. Student performance area is conveniently located in the boarding area for groups up to 90. No dressing or warm-up facilities, amplification, shelter or seating provided. Midday lunch cruise ticket purchase is required.
Grand Ole Opry – Student groups are welcome to perform for crowds in the Opry Plaza prior to seeing a Grand Ole Opry show February– October. Three performance times for groups up to 125 are available prior to every show and must be scheduled in advance. Each group is given a 20-minute performance time and recognition. No dressing or warm-up facilities, amplification, shelter or seating provided. Grand Ole Opry ticket purchase is required.
The Johnny Cash Museum - Choirs and bands of up to 50 can perform in the museum and a Cash family member will greet student groups of up to 30 or more.
Nashville Sounds – Student performance opportunities may be available with advance request. Opportunities include but are not limited to: Pre-game performances, National Anthem, Take Me out To the Ballgame, and God Bless America. Please contact Mary Hegley (email@example.com) for more information.
Nashville Shores – Student performance opportunities may be available with advance request. Lagoon Pool stage and Beach stage offered.
Nashville Visitor Center – Student performance opportunities may be available with advance request. Please contact Amy Spear (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Nashville Zoo at Grassmere - Nashville Zoo has several outdoor performance locations for bands, choirs and drama groups of all sizes. Performance locations are located in high traffic areas of the Zoo. More than 800,000 guests visit Nashville Zoo annually, so there will be plenty of guests to enjoy your group’s performance. Opry Mills – Student groups can perform on the Opry Mills Entertainment Stage.
Ryman Auditorium – Perform on the plaza of the world-famous Ryman Auditorium, the Mother Church of Country Music and acoustically second only to the Mormon Tabernacle. To book performances, contact Wayne Chandler, Director of Sales at firstname.lastname@example.org.
