Nashville’s historic Gulch District, with its distinct industrial history, originally housed the downtown railroad terminal. From the turn of the century until the 1950s, more than 100 trains arrived and departed from The Gulch daily.

Moto features inspired rustic-modern Italian cuisine. The menu is contemporary approach to authentic Italian cooking that utilizes product consciously sourced from local farms and artisans balanced by premium product imported from Italy.
Right in the center of The Gulch is The 404 Kitchen and Hotel. The 404 Hotel features five king rooms appointed with a mix of vintage and custom furniture, loft space and a rotating gallery of work by local artists, a hotel that will appeal to travelers who want something a little different in their accommodations. Connected to the Hotel is The 404 Kitchen lead by Chef Matt Bolus offering a modern take on classic European cuisine, with a menu determined by available produce and provisions from local farms, as well as herbs grown on the restaurant's rooftop garden.
Also located in the heart of the Gulch, Prima is known for its contemporary European cuisine infused with South American and Latin flavors. The dining room’s centerpiece is a special-commissioned chandelier designed by renowned British artist Bruce Munro. Fans of the beloved food truck Biscuit Love Truck can now grab brunch in a new brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Gulch. The restaurant Biscuit Love Brunch serves fluffy biscuits, plus craft beer and brunch cocktails.
Craft Beer fans will love to check out Hops + Crafts. This taproom features over 36 draft beers from across the country, with a focus on Tennessee local beer and local food. If you can't decide on which beer, they will let you create your own "6 pack" sampler. Also in The Gulch is Yazoo Brewing Company, a local brewer whose brew house is located on Division Street. The taproom is open Wednesday through Saturdays and you can often find one of Nashville’s many food trucks in the parking lot serving dinner. Brewery tours are available on Saturdays. And not to far away is Jackalope Brewing Company on 8th Avenue South. The locals love stopping by this craft beer brewery to check out how everything is made and try their latest brew.
Celebrity Chef Jonathan Waxman of New York City’s Barbuto restaurant and participant on Top Chef Masters has opened Adele’s. In a former auto shop garage, the renovated space includes an open kitchen, wood oven, and a patio. Adele’s menu changes often to insure the freshness of seasonal ingredients and includes Waxman’s famous JW chicken dish.
Stop and get a manicure at Cashmere Salonspa or grab a cup of coffee at Barista Parlor, located in the old Golden Sound recording studio. Barista Parlor offers a coffee bar, kitchen, bakery, and roasting room. After your caffeine fix, hit the boutiques in the heart of The Gulch. Urban Outfitters focuses on vintage, bohemian, retro, hipster, and kitschy apparel and furniture for men and women.
Across the street find Two Old Hippies, a store lined with collections of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia, and filled with unique apparel collections, accessories, fun novelty and gift items. e.Allen offers designer collections for women, luxury denim, fine boots and shoes, handcrafted jewelry, and gifts.
Artwork can also be found in The Gulch. Galerie Ravin is a luxury contemporary gallery specializing in investment-quality original artworks. They prominently feature Andy Warhol, Alex Katz, and other worldclass artists, including New York artist Kelley Ryan.
A favorite for American luxury equestrian and western boots, Lucchese Boot Company has opened its third flagship store. Lucchese provides the best of the best in high-end signature boots. Restaurants are popping up in The Gulch including City Fire American Oven & Bar, located inside The Icon in The Gulch, which offers an eclectic fusion of ancient world style flatbread served up in a modern urban setting and Cantina Laredo, which serves authentic Mexican dishes in a sophisticated atmosphere. You can't forget about the Peg Leg Porker. The Peg Leg Porker Restaurant is a family owned, local BBQ restaurant that serves traditional Tennessee BBQ. They focus on providing Nashville and its visitors the best BBQ that Tennessee has to offer.
Anchored in the Gulch since 1974, Station Inn is Nashville’s foremost home for authentic bluegrass and offers live acoustic music nightly. A far cry from its trendy neighbors, Station Inn keeps it simple with pizza, beer, and some of the best Americana and bluegrass music around. Doors open nightly at 7 p.m. and music starts at 9 p.m.
New to The Gulch is Chauhan Ale & Masala House by Chef Maneet Chauhan, one of the chef judges on Food Network’s “Chopped,” describes the concept for her restaurant as a microbrewery and gastro pub that is Indian-inspired, with spicy food and flavorful drinks. Turnip Truck Urban Fare is an organic grocery store featuring a deli, bakery, and salad bar that serves delicious and healthy food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Adding to Nashville’s hot chicken scene is Party Fowl. Have a local brew, enjoy live music, and brave the hot chicken.
Flyte World Dining and Wine is a casually-elegant, fine-dining restaurant specializing in creative food and beverage menus and fresh, organic, and humanelyraised ingredients. Flyte aspires to offer diners an opportunity to engage in an exploration of world cuisine, interesting wines, and finely-crafted beers. Pour House is a Prohibition Era-themed restaurant that offers burgers, bourbons, and brews. Their walls are made out of garage windows that open in the summer, they offer live music, and a rooftop patio/bar awaits you on the top level.
Many diners converge to The Gulch for Southern cooking at Arnold’s Country Kitchen. Open for breakfast and lunch, Arnold’s serves some of the very best of Nashville’s indigenous cuisine. Called a meat-and-three, this style of restaurant refers to the meals served for one price – a choice of meat plus three vegetables. Proprietor Jack Arnold stands behind the buffet counter and barks your order as you slide through the long line.
Bar Louie, a national restaurant and bar chain is located on the first floor of the Velocity in The Gulch. Hand-crafted cocktails are also available.
Located between the heart of The Gulch and Downtown is a complex of upscale and trendy restaurants operated by Nashville nightlife developers MStreet Entertainment. Whiskey Kitchen, with its tavern concept, is a favorite place to “see and be seen” in Music City. Next door is sister property Virago, part upscale Japanese restaurant and sushi bar, part late night cocktail lounge. The newest endeavor is Moto featuring a rustic-modern Italian cuisine with a vibe that is chic, comfortable, and sophisticated. The crown jewel of these restaurants is Kayne Prime, a fine dining steakhouse that features modern and upscale interpretations of classic American fare with a market-driven menu and artisanal cocktails. Saint Anejo, Nashville's Rock n’ Roll, Cantina-Chic restaurant features inspired Mexican cuisine, Latin mixology, and a premium tequila and mezcal menu of over 120 labels.
