Join James Beard Award Winning Chef Mike Solomonov on October 30 for a celebration of ZAHAV: A World of Israeli Cooking
POP Nashville andLittle Octopus, in partnership with Parnassus Books, are thrilled to welcome James Beard Award Winning Chef Mike Solomonov of the acclaimed Philadelphia restaurant Zahav, as he celebrates the release of his highly anticipated debut cookbook: ZAHAV: A World of Israeli Cooking (Houghton Mifflin, Harcourt/Rux Martin Books; released October 6, 2015). Chef Michael Solomonov was born in Israel and grew up in Pittsburgh. Modern Israeli cooking was virtually unknown in the United States when Chef Solomonov and his co-author and business partner, Steven Cook, decided to open Zahav in 2008. Solomonov was awarded the 2011 James Beard Award for Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic, and was Eater’s Chef of the Year in 2014.
Guests will enjoy mezze snacks and cocktails from the book, all expertly prepared by Little Octopus Chef Daniel Herget. Menu items will include Kibbe, Grape Leaves, Bulgarian Skewers, Date Rugelach, and Feta Borekas. Chef Solomonov will be on hand to meet and mingle with guests, and will be signing and personalizing cookbooks (for sale onsite).
